Rosenthal, Maria White, Breakfast plate
Since its introduction in 1916, the Maria porcelain dinnerware has been synonymous with timeless elegance, becoming a popular choice for weddings and special occasions. Its neo-classical design features a delicate pomegranate relief, adding a touch of romance to the set. Inspired by a silver tea set from 1815, this collection was named after Maria, the wife of Rosenthal's founder, Philip Rosenthal Senior. The set stands out with its Biedermeier style, angular shapes, and right-angled handles, which create an interplay of light and shadow. As Rosenthal's most extensive classic dinnerware collection, Maria began with 17 pieces and has grown to include a variety of items such as vases, bowls, and candle holders, enhancing its timeless appeal and sophistication.
