Fleurs d'Auteuil
The Fleurs d'Auteuil collection introduces a fresh floral dinnerware series crafted from renowned Haviland French porcelain. It has attracted considerable attention from collectors, designers, and lovers of exclusive table settings and elegant dinnerware alike, as it marks the first release since the brand joined forces with Bernardaud. To mark a new chapter in the manufactory's history, the design team looks back rather than starting from scratch. They breathed new life into the company’s rich history, thoughtfully updating and reissuing one of the earliest patterns from the original archives.
Our MDMAISON platform is delighted to offer clients the opportunity to buy this masterpiece with worldwide delivery.
Fleurs d'Auteuil Collection: A Fresh Take on a Signature Haviland Classic
The Fleurs d'Auteuil by Haviland was first previewed in London in May 2026 before receiving its full presentation during Paris Design Week in September.
Léon Pallandre designed the original floral dinnerware pattern in 1873 at the renowned Atelier d'Auteuil in Paris. His work emerged during a period of experimentation with chromolithography on colored paper, a multicolor printing process that opened up new possibilities for more detailed and expressive imagery. In this latest release, the pattern joins the Héritage portfolio, offering a fresh, modern reimagining of the manufactory’s historical archives.
Unique Pattern Details
This revamped edition of Fleurs d'Auteuil maintains the original botanical motifs, reinterpreting them for porcelain with an updated twist. Instead of relying on strict geometric symmetry, the design centers on an organic arrangement of diverse blooms that feels like a living slice of a sun-filled garden.
- Twelve flower varieties make up the design, including wildflowers, garden roses, daffodils, tulips, forget-me-nots, bellflowers, irises, pansies, carnations, and anemones.
- The pattern's defining characteristic is its asymmetrical arrangement, giving the composition a more organic and effortless appearance.
- Its palette features Haviland's signature colors, including lush green, rich carmine red, muted pink, sunny yellow, ultramarine blue, and lilac. The scalloped edges are finished with either subtle gold detailing or a fine colored border.
Distinctive Shapes
The brand also continues to develop the tradition of French Limoges porcelain by combining historic designs with modern forms. Instead of presenting their restored pattern on classic, smooth silhouettes, the brand's designers chose the more unusual new Séraphine shape. The plates now feature an elegant scalloped rim that instantly brings a vintage aesthetic to mind. Unlike the Baroque Dammouse or aristocratic sets with heavy embossed patterns, Séraphine has a delicate relief that you can barely feel under your fingers. It doesn’t overpower the piece and was created specifically to complement painterly patterns like Fleurs d'Auteuil.
What’s Included in the Fleurs d'Auteuil
The Fleurs d'Auteuil by Haviland is full of atmosphere, presenting several lines that cover not just complete table settings, but also tea service, dessert presentation, and decorative accents.
It includes:
- a full tea set with cups for various hot drinks and serving pieces
- a dinner service with different-sized individual dinner plates and serving platters
- a particular decor line featuring vases, valet trays, candy boxes, and more.
The collection is now available to order, either as a complete range or as individual pieces for home decoration and table settings.
Practical Application
The Fleurs d'Auteuil collection works particularly well for elegant tea setups, afternoon tea, and relaxed coffee get-togethers. Teapots, cups and saucers, a sugar bowl, and a creamer make it easy to arrange a complete tea service, while small plates and serving dishes provide a lovely way to present pastries, desserts, candies, and light bites. At the same time, having dinner plates, salad bowls, and serving platters allows you to use this luxury tableware for more formal dinners, brunches, and Easter table settings.
More Inspiration with Fleurs d'Auteuil
Despite its roots in heritage porcelain, Fleurs d'Auteuil by Haviland is actually quite versatile. These pieces easily mix with similar botanical dinnerware, items with delicate gold rims, or soft pastel creations from other Limoges manufactories like Raynaud. Pair the collection with Haviland’s core lines to create a striking contrast and explore bolder Mix & Match combinations.
Use this contrast to experiment with fresh combinations, from the timeless charm of French Provence and Haussmann-style interiors to the clean lines of Japandi and Scandinavian minimalism. It can also add an expressive touch to eclectic dining rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, and outdoor terraces.
