Drinking set no.4
Design of Drinking set № 4 collection is a unique example of Ludwig Lobmeyr's foresight. Created in 1856, at a time when heavily cut crystal was in fashion, Lobmeyr created a timeless masterpiece of modern design, known for its simplicity and perfect proportions.
His concept was so innovative that it could be considered a real invention. Glasses from this collection are made of crystal, blown in beech wood molds and are so elegant that the thickness of their rims is less than one millimeter. For this exceptional subtlety, they were named "muslin glass", in honor of the exquisite French satin fabric.
