Maria White
Since its debut in 1916, Maria has become a name synonymous with iconic porcelain dinneware, embodying timeless elegance and classic style. It has long been the choice for weddings and celebratory events. Its timeless charm is drawn from its neo-classical design, beautifully accented by romantic touches like the delicate pomegranate relief.
This set was inspired by a silver tea set dating back to 1815, purchased by the company's founder, Privy Councillor Philip Rosenthal Senior, during a trip to England. In homage to his wife, the porcelain collection was aptly named Maria. With its Biedermeier style and pomegranate relief framing its neo-classical, polygonal shape, Maria collection boasts a distinctive character defined by right-angled handles and pronounced angular shapes creating a dynamic interplay of light and shadow.
Maria is Rosenthal's most extensive china collection in their classic range, originally including about 17 different pieces, which were added in pairs or trios. Today, the Maria collection is further complemented by a variety of coordinating items such as vases, bowls, and candle holders, perfect for enhancing any occasion with its understated elegance and timeless sophistication.
