Ocean

The Ocean dinnerware collection from Hering Berlin reinterprets the traditional concept of a fish service in a new and unique way. The marine animals featured in the collection are represented in various shades of cobalt blue, from deep blue to delicate turquoise, on a background of matt white bisque porcelain. The collection's design is characterized by the interplay of engraved and glazed bisque porcelain, giving the plates a matte, velvety rim and a gleaming center.

To bring the oceanic theme to life, Hering Berlin enlisted the talent of Berlin-based illustrator Eleonore Gerhaber. Her illustrations, rich in detail and imbued with a lighthearted style, perfectly capture the motion and energy of the sea. The collection features a variety of marine creatures, such as shoals of herring on the presentation plate, crayfish on the dinner plate, and squids on the soup bowl. These motifs are thoughtfully integrated into the shapes of the individual pieces, making each animal feel as if it "lives" on the piece it is featured on.

The Ocean collection can be used as a complete dinner service, but can also be paired with the brand's "Velvet" collection, which features pieces in pure white, to add an ocean accent. Each piece in the collection is crafted by hand, making every piece a unique and one-of-a-kind item.
